Louise's main preoccupation in her paintings is with colour, form and space. Her current semi-abstract work is influenced by her surroundings in the West Country. She is particularly drawn to the ancient landscapes and to capturing something of their mystery.
Louise studied Environmental Design/Architecture at Chelsea School of Art and then at The Royal College of Art and worked as an architect/designer in London for many years. She has always found time to paint and her work is in a number of private collections.
In 2009 she moved from London to Bruton in Somerset to concentrate on her career as a painter.
"My work is influenced by events, landscapes and the work of artists I admire.
